Word Count 2.1.0
By default, Vanilla limits discussions and comments to a fixed number of characters. However, there is no way of knowing how close you are to this limit when writing a discussion or a comment and many users therefore often find themselves randomly deleting parts of their post in hopes of meeting the character limit.
No more! Word Count gives you a to-the-letter reading of how many characters you have left when composing posts and trimming your super-long posts is therefore finally as easy as it should be. Oh, and Word Count also counts the number of words in your post - hence the name of the plugin!
