Users running a non-download version of Vanilla (pulled from github), on branch release/2019.016 or master from the last 2 weeks should upgrade to release/2019.017 or latest master for security reasons. Downloaded official open sources releases are not affected.

Adapted from this Countdown plugin, for people who:

  • Need multiple timers on one page
  • Need a countdown >100 days
  • Like to limit the amount of timers per post users can post.

Installation

Place the unzipped plugin folder in your vanilla/plugins folder and then activate using the Dashboard.
Optionally configure using plugin settings page: tag, time, timezone,.
Change Plugins.Countdown.NumReplacementsPerPost in config.php to allow more countdowns / post.

Use

Enter your configured countdown tag into a comment to have the countdown to your chosen time appear in the comment,
or enter your tag followed by a specific time in brackets (e.g. [COUNTDOWN](2017-07-08 11:00)).
