Discussion Inserts allows you to add some HTML after the initial post (and before the first answer) of a selected discussion.
Inserts are added through the ID of the discussion (you can find in the discussion URL) and hold a possibility to show different inserts to desktop and mobile visitors.
A simple list in the Vanilla dashboard allows you the manage your inserts.
Example: Imagine you have a very popular discussion that is ranking high in search engines and drives a lot of traffic to your forum. With Discussion Inserts you can show an invitational text or image to those visitors ("Great you found our community! Register here to join the discussion."), integrate a banner or lead users to various discussions with a similar topic.
