Kaieteur 1.0

A theme that puts all of the navigational links in a header that hides when it's not needed, while the content flows down in one single neat, readable column cascading in the center of the screen like the Kaieteur Falls.

This theme puts all of the navigational links in a header that hides when it's not needed, while the content flows down in one single neat, readable column cascading in the centre of the screen like the Kaieteur Falls.

The general feel of Vanilla's default theme is preserved – fonts, colours, buttons and the like all look the same. The layout, however, is heavily modified. It is encouraged to tweak custom.css to personalise the way your forums look.

Important things to note:

  • The theme is optimised for forums with four categories. I would even go as far as to say that it only works that way. On my forums, I modified views/modules/categories.php to add a link to a page in lieu of a fourth category.
  • Due to the changes in the layout, some features (notably plugin-related ones) might not be accessible anymore. It really shouldn't happen, but... consider yourself warned.
  • I'm far from being a professional web developer. I made this to suit my needs – it works for me and I hope it works for you as well, but if it doesn't, well, I can't guarantee I'll be able to help.
