This plugin is based on Categories Image header by peregrine. Thanks P !
This plugin puts a text and/or an image marquee on the discussions index header.
Adding checkmarks in the fields hides the preset images by order stored.Checking one hides the previous one etc.The images gif images but you can change that in the plugin if you want others just change the file type in the default.php. The default image is image1.gif , you can leave these fields unchecked if you want the deafult image1 to be the one displayed. Checking up to the fifth you can hide only the Image marquee for text only. Checking all the fields hides the whole marquee.
I added an editor so you can edit your text from the dashboard. You can choose not to use the preset images and only use the Text editor to add a banner or other linked images or ads.
To edit the style or hide something use the marq.css file.
version 1.1 replaced text fields with checkboxes.
**version 1.2 added an option in the dashboard settings to only hide the Image marquee if desired by checking all but the last one. Added a set of fun fonts in the font folder so you can use a variety of fonts that can be seen by everyone.
version 1.3 Added editor for the Text marquee so you can edit the text in the dashboard.
About the fonts
To change fonts or add fonts to the marquee I added a fonts file with a selection of fonts but you can add more of your liking or in other language fonts.
Here is an example of how to change the font face in the css file using these fonts, you don't need to put all of them in, just the one you want to use and it's type but these are examples of how to put various types of fonts in your css file:
src: url('plugins/Marquee/fonts/FontName.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),
