Timeago 2.0.1

Timeago adds automatically updating fuzzy timestamps (e.g. "4 minutes ago") throughout Garden.

Timeago is a jQuery plugin written by Ryan McGeary that makes it easy to support automatically updating fuzzy timestamps (e.g. "4 minutes ago" or "about 1 day ago"). This plugin for Vanilla implements Timeago for all date and time handling throughout Vanilla as relative (aka fuzzy) timestamps are much easier to relate to than absolute timestamps. Here are some of the features of Timeago:

  • Avoid timestamps dated "1 minute ago" even though the page was opened 10 minutes ago; timeago refreshes automatically.
  • You can take full advantage of page caching in your web applications, because the timestamps aren't calculated on the server.
  • Timeago utilizes the HTML5 microformats that Vanilla makes use of which also takes into account time zones.

Issue tracking

If you come across any bugs or if you have a feature request, please file an issue using the GitHub Issue tracker. Timeago for Vanilla won't be supported through so please stick to using GitHub for inquiries about bugs and feature requests. Thanks!
