can't sign in

I've just setup the vanilla and I have a problem. I can't sign in. I write down the login information and hit the button, and when the page opens it still says 'click to sign in'. I think this is becouse of some misconfigured session setting. Becouse I can sign in if I click 'remember me' (I think this option uses cookies instead of a session) Can anyone guide me through the correct session configurations. Thanks...

    Check with your host if sessions are correctly enabled and set up.

    I'm on a dedicated machine, so I have to sort this problem out by myself, by host don't help.
    If you can guide me through correct settings I'll be glad.

    I had this problem today - turned out to be nothing to do with Vanilla. I was using an underscore in the domain name - this character is not valid for domain names. I was just testing this locally, and the domain name i chose was "test_vanilla.com". Firefox didn't have a problem with it - but IE would silently reject cookies - so the symptom was you sign in ... and .. you're not signed in! very frustrating.
