can't login on a fresh vanilla 1.1.1 installation

I've downloaded and installed the Vanilla 1.1.1 and installed it localy. But if I want to login it simply goes back to the discussion tab and I'm not logged in...
On another installation of Vanilla 1.1 I can login perfectly.

Using another Browser also doesn't work... Cookies are enabled...

Has anyone an idea?

    For the record, I think this is caused by the fact that I make php's sessions use the same cookie domain and path as the remembery cookies do. So, if you don't configure those correct for the remembery cookies, the session won't work either. 99% of the time this won't be a problem - but cookies work a little weird when you're dealing with localhost.
