Is there a Vanilla Blog out there?

I don't mean a blog FOR Vanilla Forums. What I am wondering is if the Vanilla folks have released or are planning a kick-butt Vanilla Blog application for those of us that are tired of the over-complexity of Wordpress. Yeah yeah blah blah, I know Wordpress is great. Whatever. I don't care. I have customers that don't use their blog because they are just too afraid to figure out Wordpress and all the crap in there - regardless of how easy it seems to us and how many times we train them. I want something that I can api into or integrate into our standard php cms system etc. Wordpress code is a nightmare.

    I was thinking, I actually loved how the blog plugin for Vanilla 1 worked, where you could upgrade a comment to be a blog post, where comments were put in the discussion of the comment.

    If you only want a blog, you could simply hide the forum.

    i cant wait till the vanilla blog is ran from a vanilla solution instead of wordpress. Dont get me wrong, wordpress is cool, but i believe vanilla can be even better.

    the only thing that worries me here, and ive been pondering this for a while... naming schema. thats a different discussion though

    installing a bloging/page management/wiki solution on a product called "vanilla forums". Product marketing, development consistency, avoiding confusion etc etc
