Wordpress Plugin problems

Hello everyone!

Struggling a little with the Wordpress plugin to embed Vanilla Forums.

I'm not actually looking to embed my forum, but rather, want the widgets that come with it. Every time I insert my forum address I receive the following message:

"Forum url could not be validated. Are you sure you entered the correct web address of your forum?"

My Wordpress is located in the root:
http://www.mysite.com/

My Vanilla forums is located in:
http://www.mysite.com/messageboards/

The strange thing is, IT DID WORK. I was throwing errors at me yesterday and then suddenly it started working. After I changed a few things (editing Wordpress templates) I went back and noticed suddenly it had stopped. I literally can't think of anything I could have changed to make it stop working.

Any help or any clues as to why I keep getting this error would stop me from pulling my (very little) hair out today!

Regards,

Aaron

Nobody at all has any clue? Could it be some of the server settings?

@Mark programmed this plugin. Let's see if he knows.

What are you entering in the main plugin page as your forum url?

    This has worked for me:

When you try to configure your Vanilla Forum to work with WordPress, the example says:

"Paste the url to your Vanilla forum here (eg. http://yourdomain.com/forum)".

So I did just that 3 times using my domain and correct path with no success, every time the field goes empty with this message:

"Forum url could not be validated. Are you sure you entered the correct web address of your forum?"

    Yes, I'm sure!! Lol

    So, instead of pasting:

    I pasted:

( this is the URL that you get when you click in VISIT SITE in your Vanilla install )

I saved, and now it's working!

The cool thing is that if you see in the field now, it says:

    http://yourdomain.com/forum

    Cheers,
    Alex
