Badges for user activity?

I browsed all the plugins, maybe I've missed someone, but I'd like to have a plugin for showing badges next to user names based on their "career" on the forum. I'd like to show something that gets better as user participation increases.
Something like that already exists on this community, isn't there a plugin doing it?

This topic has been discussed extensively on the forum. At the moment, Badges are a feature available only for hosted Vanilla, not for the Open Source/Community version. I am currently working on such plugin, trying to get a working version out as soon as possible. It's not exactly the simplest feature ever, I must say.

Still can't understand the reason for limiting the self-host version. Simply offer a paid self host version with all the features with a yearly fee charged for updates.

@hydn: @422 is right, it has been discussed in several threads, some of them have been set to sunk by the vanilla team, so we better do not argue on that anymore. They simply don't like it, and they rule this OS related board.
But there are other threads dealing with a possible development by some of the devs here. @businessdad seems to work on something like this. But please don't force anyone, especially not the devs. Please read through some of those discussions... of course we would like to see your productive participation into this topic.
+1 for 422.
I would suggest to close this thread, if possible, to avoid yet one more "clone".
