You do know that there is an announcement at the top of all discussions, that goes about the Vanilla 2.1 release, right? I'll give you the link, so you can click it:

If you're that desparate for a new release, just get the latest gitHub version. Careful, we can't really support what's going on with that release, because it's in alpha / beta stage.
If you're desparate for a new release because you have a bug, just report the bug on gitHub or open a new topic about your bug.
