  Vanilla should already do this by default, the only thing that will appear before new posts is stickies.

  I think she means so my post would now be at the top. How does that make sense though?

  Mimisweeper is correct - I would like to have the posts at the top of each discussion. The discussion that was last edited is at the top, as Lech says. We are using this for a project team and there are lots of posting each day. It would be easier if we could read the latest post without having to scroll to the bottom of the discussion.

  If you're logged in it should automatically take you to where you last read up to?

  not sure - probably. Looking for a way to put last post on top when the discussion is opened.

  Sandy, just filling out mini's comment: If you're logged in, then check if on the accounts tab under "Discussion list options", the option "Jump to the last read comment when clicking on discussion topic" is set. I think that amounts to the same as you what you want to achieve without you having to change the order.

  Thanks, jakob-r - this does get me to the last entry without having to scroll down. If anyone knows how to do this in the admin settings, that woudl be great! Thanks all.

  Ahh, wait, I totally misread the intention, I thought posts (as in threads) not the actual discussional reply (posts), currently there's not way to do this by default, the only way you would be able to achive this is if someone was to code an extension. Personally though, I find that reading threads from bottom to top as opposed to the chronologically correct top to bottom highly annoying, but that's your choice.
