    I wanted a forum, googled and read everything I could find for opinions. It quickly came down to Punbb or Vanilla. Vanilla won because it looked "nicer" and this forum looked like fun. It still is.

    I was looking for gallery software that would work with WordPress. Found FileBrowser (probably via Google) then saw Vanilla. Interestingly, I was also looking for forum software but had about given up as they all looked the same, were too expensive, or too complicated to set up. And Vanilla was going to its 1.0 release — sweet!

    Now if I can get WordPress + Vanilla + a Picture Gallery all together...

    I saw that Icon Buffet was using it as well as K2 for Wordpress which peaked my interest. I was looking for a new forum at the time to switch away from phpBB. So far so good.
