Limiting characters per post.

Is there a way to limit the number of characters persons can use in a single reply?

    Yes, the default is 5000 I think, this is more of a SPAM protection measure...

    Quote from Application Settings page: "Although the database can transfer and save as much data as the server's memory can handle, it is a good idea to keep the max comment length down to a reasonable size."

    Thanks for that, so I can take it down to 500, but as admin, I will be exempt?

    Don't know about admin exemption, hang on, I'll test it.

    Later: Nope, admin not exempt from this limit.
