Upgraded and can't edit settings now

Hi I upgraded from a .92 version to 1.1 following the instructions and now I can't access the settings section using the Master Administrator account. I keep get redirected to the account page. Similarly, on the front page I'm getting a "You haven't checked for Vanilla updates yet. Click here to check for updates now" link which also gets redirected to the account page. Any ideas? Mike

    And you're sure you're still a master administrator?

    Well, that's what it says when I visit my accounts page. And in the mysql table I have role id 6 which corresponds to the admin role. And I'm hoping I would not see the update message if I was not an administrator... Mike
