Adding Google's Adsense advertisements to discussion pages

I am very new to this, so maybe this is a stupid question, but I would like to know how to add advertisements to the forum pages. I have an account with adsense, and I know how to cut and paste their code into a page (Im not that dumb), but I dont know where to place it in the discussion or forum pages. Use the stuff displayer and then change the code inside the default.php files
