Vanilla + Wordpress database info

I've integrated both programs here. I've got one database that is shared, but am unsure how the programs interact with the user files. Both programs have a different set of roles and personal info editing features. If a user edits their personal info in Vanilla, does it translate? What if their assigned role in one program doesn't exist in the other?

Anyone interested in giving me a beginner's tutorial on what's happening and how to deal with it? :)

    Well, thanks, but that's not exactly what I was hoping for.

    I find that I can log into Vanilla, switch to the WP side, and be logged in under another username. Is this the expected behavior?
