Trouble with Attachements

I have just upgraded from Vanilla 0.9 to 1.1.4 by having to go the long way http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/7915/looking-for-a-file-that-does-not-exist/#Item_15 I previously had the Attachment extension so I downloaded it again and installed again and re-uploaded my "uploads/" directory but I can't get my attachments to show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Did you try "importing" them using the attachments(2) settings page? (it says something like "import attachments from version 1" and you enter the path to the old attachments directory)
