Re: New Install and I am getting weird issues
Done a check, you are on apache, you still should check that mod_rewrite is enabled. Also you are using PHP 7.4.1 I don't think the software is 7.4.1 ready although I have tested on 7.4.1 with with no issues, probably better to revert to PHP 7.3 seeing as you are having several different issues on install. >>>… -
Re: Vanilla 2.1.7 released
Just a little squeak not many people will notice and won't matter to hardly anyone... but the diff @Linc pointed to seems to include one change (library/database/class.database.php) that was already in the 2.1.6 zip (at least the one from github). I downloaded 2.1.6 and 2.1.7 from github and built my own diff and compared… -

Stuck in the build process
I am new to vanilla. I am trying to install this software and I wanted to create a new theme but I think I'm stuck in the build process. This what I did based on the instructions I read on Vanilla CLI page: Installing Vanilla 1. Download: "composer" 2. run in COMMAND LINE: composer global require 'vanilla/vanilla-cli 3.… -
Auto deploying Vanilla Forums: what should I set up in config.php?
As seen here you guys use to deploy Vanilla automatically setting a config.php and then running utility/update as strategy. I am currently running a request to the setup form to do this, but I would like to change to the utility/update method, so my question is, which values should I set to the `config.php` before running… -
Please Upload Locales to vf.org or GitHub
The current translations are on Transifex, I know, but in order to download a translation from their server, you'll have to have an account. I already have downloaded it one time and I was glad I already had an account, because I do not like registering anywhere just for being able to download one file, but right now I do… -
Re: Mentions+ setting problem. Your help will be appreciated.
this is what I meant. unfortunately the regex breaks in the validation expression but seems to work here (if I am not deluding myself.... <!DOCTYPE html><meta charset="utf-8" /><?php//$pattern ='/[\^\w_\x{AC00}-\x{D7A3}\s]$/u';// $pattern ='/(\p{Hangul}+)/u';$pattern ='/[\p{Han}+\p{Katakana}+\p{Hiragana}+\p{Hangul}]+/iu';… -
Re: A fix to make FileUpload version 1.8.2 to work in Vanilla 2.1 (backport).
unfortunately, I couldn't replace the previous replacements.zip - so if people don't read the final message, they will be going through multiple steps. I also could not give it the same name, because it won't allow me to delete the old replacements.zip, and it won't allow me to upload one with the same name. so follow the… -
Re: Enabling Clean URLs on IIS Installations
To use this in a subfolder, you only need to add a "<clear />" tag. This removes any existing rewrite rules that might be inherited from parent folders. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <clear /> <rule name="Vanilla Rule 1" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^(.*)$"… -
Re: post counts in side panel not updating - Vanilla 3.2
Thank you @R_J !!! All I can think of re: the problem you found is that I mentioned in the first post: this install is a migrated one from a previous Windows install - perhaps some data types in the database got converted from int to string when I exported the database from my Windows install, and then re-imported into my…
