The stuff the appears on the side panel are modules, the menu is a module, when you enable the tagging plugin and add tags to a post, the box with tags, the tagging module appears on the side panel. It looks perfectly presentable. Personally, I'm not keen on the narrow font style. I would say the sections at the bottom are likely to get 'lost', since people may often not end up getting to the bottom of the page.
