Screwed up and now can't log in

my forum is hosted at everthinglookscool.com/vanillaforum but I have it masking so you can go to forum.everythinglookscool.com to get to it. Being the smart guy that I am, in the application settings I changed the url where the forum is located to forum.everythinglookscool.com (which doesnt actually have any of the important info) to see what would happen (and then even more smartly, logged off) and now when I try to log in:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at forum.everythinglookscool.compeople.php.

what do i do?!

Edit vanilla/conf/settings.php to point at the right url.

Sweet.

I changed the base URL from http://forums.everythinglookscool.com to http://everythinglookscool.com/vanillaforum/ and now when I sign in it doesnt give me the server not found error, but immediately redirects to my hosting providers "this site is under construction" page.

Do i need to change where it forwards logged on users to?
