messages in "above main content" position displays way down the page

I've tested to put a message on users' profile page in the above main content position, but it displays just below the google ad block.

by the way, this above main content position, is supposed to be above the username?

I've been finding some strange things happening with those messages. It needs a lot of debugging. Sorry
