Changing the text and tabs

Hi, I am fairly new to Vanilla but know already that I will be using it for some time. Just a couple of questions. I found out that to change the text in the welcome page you make the changes in the language files but how do you add another tab net to discussions - categories - search etc.... Is it possible to add to these and add text in other places too? Thanks for the great software and for any help you are able to offer :)

The documentation (and search function) is your friend. To learn how to add tabs, try checking out this post which gives you a snippet of code which can be added as an extension. If you read the rest of the discussion and dig around you should soon be able to work out how to play with what you need to get what you want.

As for adding text in other places..where? Adding stuff to the control panel is simple enough, a la documentation but other places might not be quite so simple.

That's good to hear. Ofcourse if you have any troubles you can post them up and we'll help you out but it's always nice to acomplish something yourself :D
