My URL to Vanilla Homepage is not found

My homepage URL to Vanilla http://nagapress.com/community/ does not exist
Whereas if I place the url to http://nagapress.com/community/index.php it does show up.

How do I make both the link show up

That's a web server configuration. You need to make sure your web server uses index.php as a "default" file.

I have to put slash (/) at the end otherwise it does not show up. This work http://nagapress.com/community/index.php/ I am using wordpress, my server can read the index.php but why not in Vanilla?

@Weblogian - Okay, that's not what I thought it was. It seems more like a strange web server configuration. What web server & version does your shared host use?
