Google again?

edited October 2005 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
So apparently Google does not take anything lightly. Just a while ago Google introduced something called "Google Base" just to take it down as fast as it was up. Google Base is basically a database of about anything and everything you can imagine, and the admin is you (sounds alot like wikipedia.) Google is attempting to tame the wild information in web with their Google Base, so only thing I'm here to ask is, are we getting closer to semantic web thanks to Google?

Cool. Googles versions of Craigslist and Ebay. Ebay is overloaded with spam, frauds, and lazy fat people who think it is their "job". And Craigslist, well, nothing too bad about it, cept that its a pretty simplistic layout. At least some color and less of a default font could be used.
