Cookie Domain / Cookie Path

I need to move the fora from /source/directory/ to /new/source/directory.

Is it possible to change these values?

I am assuming it is on the same domain, like moving it from http://example.com/forum/ to http://example.com/discussion/

Before moving the forum, set the cookie path to "/". Try to leave it like that for some few days.

After moving it, set it "/new/source/directory/".
