check the vanilla blog from admin dashboard

It would be nice to have the vanilla blog and/or forum announcements in the admin dashboard.

As an (official?) plugin, perhaps. I'd personally find that irritating, as that's what visiting the actual forum and RSS is for.

i think it would pro-actively open up the vanilla forums and rss feed to more users, like the users that use/run vanilla but dont visit the forums themselves. But i think its a good idea
