add own extension to vanila

HI ,

I am new to vanilla forum.
Recently, I have downloaded the code , This is very nice piece of creation.
I really liked it.

I want to add my own extension to vanilla forum , I tried to serach in documentation for "How to create add ons".
I read information in "quick start guide for creation of new extension.". But when I tried to compair it with the code of existing addons for vanilla , I confused . That document and existing addon code Is not matching.

Can any one please guide me to proper document or link , which will guide me to create my own extension ?

I am also wondering how the communication takes place between extension and core framework ?

Ah, the problem here is probably the overlap in documentation. You have downloaded vanilla 1 but the documentation linked currently is for preparation for the next vanilla. If you want to create a vanilla 1 addon then check out http://lussumo.com/docs/doku.php otherwise have a look at the (still not released) vanilla 2.

Also, just download a few Vanilla 1 extensions/plugins and take a peek at the code.
