Any tips for speeding up eMule?

Not sure if I'm using eMule properly or not, how much difference is there between having a low id and a high one? Any other ways to speed it up?

    ermm, I think the more you share means the more you're allowed to download. Just like on any other P2P network. Yes, it's lame.
