Plug in for emailing out announcements to members

Hi!

I am running a website for a small lifesaving organisation in Australia.

I am about to integrate Vanilla into my WordPress install on the website to act as an announcements board and discussion area.

Was wondering if it is at all possible to send an email of the announcements posted to the members of the forum (Who would be members of the organisation), or if there is a plug in which would allow me to do this.

Like the work you do guys keep it up!

    This is actually a great request which I would be interested in as well. However, I'd need something like this for Vanilla 2 as well.

    I think a plugin called notifi might to the trick, I am still having major headaches will install though so hopefully I can get that sorted out first
