Built-in updater

I'm wondering if there are any plans to have a built in updater for Vanilla 2 at any point. I know RC2 just came out, so I'm sure there's still a decent amount to do. I'm just wondering if this is in the works at all?

I detest having to go an upload files manually and such in fear that I might miss something.
