Google Calendar

  • Doesn't seem to work with the latest version of Vanilla.
  • Just installed it and it works great. Need to copy the xml link from your google calendar. Also need to make your calendar public.
  • I just installed it with latest version of Vanilla and had two problems shared by others on other threads (e.g. the "requesting data" problem, and showing "Date Created).

For anyone still having issues, here the steps I used to make it work.

    1) follow instructions from metacode to fix Date Created issue

2)) follow instructions from jflint to fix "requesing data" issue
  • how hard would it be to include a vcal or ical link in vanilla, in a similar way?
we have an events calendar that generates a vcal link.
  • Just tried to install it and it didn't work for me. Vanilla 1.1.2, neither firefox nor Safari, even with the fixes suggested above. Shame. Would have loved to get it up and running - missing an easily configurable calendar/events extension - countdown calendar is great but too much of a chore to edit, and thus can't be maintained by a wide range of my users...
  • Is there a way to change the date format? I'd like it to display 7/28 instead of 2007-28-7

I know it has to do with the atomdate thingy but I'm not sure what substr's to use.

  • How to display calendar entries as page? Not in sidebar.
