For example, the direct translation of "sign in" is not a good idea. It would be better to use the transliteration of "login" (ãƒã‚°ã‚¤ãƒ³) instead. In fact, I've changed all the "Sign in" Japanese text to "Log in" in my Japanese definitions.php file. You may wish to do so as well. "Log in" is by far more common that "Sign in" in Japanese. Just point your browser to Google.co.jp and you will see that they use "ãƒã‚°ã‚¤ãƒ³" too.
