    if i wanted to adjust this simple search-box to search in dogpile.com , what would be the single, most important change ?

    This would be the default html file, the form is essential constructing a search url like the one used by anidb.info and redirecting the user to the site. This is then sprinkled with a bit of javascript to enable the open new button and make it more friendly.
