Errors! Database.OpenConnection()

I received this message: A fatal, non-recoverable error has occurred Technical information (for support personel): Error Message: The connection to the database failed. Affected Elements: Database.OpenConnection(); The problem was that my database password had a $ in it. If the settings.php file is changed to use single quotes rather than double, this will solve the problem for future users! Thanks for having a great product and keeping it FREE! You guys rock!     Perhaps (i think it actually failed for me but maybe that time I entered it wrong), but why not just have single quotes? Also, more informative errors might help out as well.
