Remove TAG functionality?

In Vanilla 2 - If I wanted to remove the TAG functionality, how would I do that.

I find TAGS unimportant and simply distracting to the UI.

    Tags are a plugin, not core in any way. The default forum functionality is to provide the traditional "categories" methodology.
