Recalculate latest comment authors?

I'm loving Vanilla 2, so far no serious issues
I have encountered a minor issue though, it seems like after I delete a comment from a topic, the topic meta data in the discussion list doesn't update to show the changes- it still shows that the last comment is there, although it's not.
Is there a way to get the forum to recalculate/update this?
