Invitations not sending

I've tried to find an answer but can't seem to. I've recently upgraded from 2.0 to the latest version and now im trying to send out invitations and its not going beyond the [] [] [] graphic. i dont think it's sending them at all. im not sure when it stopped working ((ie if is related to the upgrading) and I know it at one time worked. I have not changed any settings. I am not getting any error messages.

any ideas?

see if you can add new users, or add messages in the admin dashboard.

just tried adding a new users - nothing happened. user not visible in the list.
same with adding a message.

Are you using RewriteUrls?

Do you urls look like: index.php?p=/discussions

I don't actually know. I'll investigate with my hosting provider.
