Messages not working

I'm having trouble adding/showing messages to my members. I go to create a message and save it, nothing happens, nothing appears in the form of a message. I'm sort of confused why this is happing. So if you can please help me with this.

The pop-ups are broken. Try right-clicking and open the "New Message" button in a new tab.
