email notifications in V 2.0.6

Before and after installing V 2.0.6 i'm not able to receive email notifications such as invitations, new user appliction, new posts, etc. note that my preferences are all marked as True. Can someone help me on this plz?

    I seem to have the same problem. I tried SMTP, I know the SMTP credentials work, but I simply do not get emails.

    We've seen a lot of email support questions, and we;re looking into vanilla's email sending code. More on this when we have an update.

    Tim, We're having the same issues. We built a great site around Vanilla but without email notifications is useless. We really need this feature fixed, its essential to any forum.

    Is there any work arounds??
