Automatically pull username on login? (free alternative to cometchat)

I found this awesome (and free) alternative to Comet Chat called AjaxIM ( http://ajaxim.com/ ) and I was wondering how you would set it up to pull the user's username and log them into chat when they log into Vanilla. Unfortunatly, my PHP knowledge is a bit too limited to understand how to do this and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The problem is that the integration section of their documentation still says coming soon. If anyone figures out how to intergrate this, please let me know .
