Inbox not showing unread message count.

How do i show a count of unread posts next to the inbox?

    Has anybody ever seen this before. Using dark Mist theme but also affect default vanilla theme.

    I've never seen this issue, and the unread messages functionality works out-of-the-box for me.

    While on the Inbox page it shows the number of unread comments in each discussion but the link for the inbox does not show a total of unread comments in all conversations as users expect it to.

    Does anybody know how i can do this?
