Fix email syntax at profile page

edited September 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
dear friends,

I have experienced something in my profile page. The email appears even being checked to NOT appear in the public.
When you click on email link, in the field TO in Gmail (for example) appears exactly like this:
myemail < strong > @ < /strong > gmail < em > . < /em > com

It means, including all syntax above. How to fix this? OR simply where could I REALLY deactivate publishing emails in the profile page?

thanks in advance.

You may be seeing the emails because you are an administrator. Have you tried logging in under a regular member account to see if they still appear?
