Question regarding plugin/panels

Hey,

I'm very new to Vanilla and I are in need of some assistance in getting to know how to make a simple panel.
I've tried looking through the documentation, but that didn't get me very far.

All I need to know, is how to make a simple panel with some text in it.
Kinda like the ones you get when adding a message above the content panel.

Thanks, tried searching myself, but didn't come up with any results.

I tried out those tips, but couldn't get anything to show up.
Some of the codings in the documentation seems outdated comparing them to modules in Vanilla.

I'm making a new class file in /applications/dashboard/modules, a new view file in /applications/dashboard/views/modules and edited the controller file.
