Problems With Vanilla + Apache/Xcache v1.2?

whywhy
edited October 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
I had some problems yesterday with another install, I kept getting the BONK message and the only way around it was to clear my Xcache. Removing Xcache is not an option for me, is there a way around this?

I'm using Xcache v1.2 because that's the stable version in Debian's repository.

Just saying you received a BONK message is almost useless. In your conf/config.php, please update
    $Configuration['Garden']['Errors']['MasterView']
to 'deverror.master.php'; and post the contents of the error message you get.

  • Sorry my question wasn't very well posed.

Does Vanilla have problems in general with external caching such as Apache + Xcache or other types of caching / reverse-proxy servers like Varnish for example?

It shouldn't. I run APC locally, and the entire hosted service runs it too, without problems.
