Can't edit roles&permission

I am just trying to establish my first vanilla forum. I have set the permission once in the beginning, but I am unable to edit permissions now, in the way it is described in the documentation.
I have not installed vanilla on my own server yet, but I have tried the Addon (very nice). My browser is Safari (macOS),

If so, role & permission editing is only available on the paid plans.
