Mobile theme not properly jumping to new posts

I can't confirm if this is just an iPhone issue, or for all mobile devices using the Mobile Theme, but when entering a previously read discussion with new posts, the mobile theme does not jump down to the new post, it appears to momentarily jump to the new post, then almost immediately jump to the top of the page.
This is a bit of an issue especially for longer threads having to scroll to the bottom for the newest posts.
