Installing Proxy Connect for Joomla

edited November 2010 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
1. We have Joomla 1.1.5 and Vanilla 2.0.14 installed on the same domain
2. Aim is to have to have a single sign for Joomla and Vanilla using our Joomla member database, when people sign into Joomla they should automatically sign into Vanilla
3. Downloaded Proxy Connect
4. Tried to install it thro the Joomla CP - says XML file not found
5. Installing through Vanilla seems quite complex with php coding etc.

Is there a simple way for a non coder to install Proxy Connect in Joomla for a SSO with Vanilla forums? Thanks to anyone who can help.

@upai ProxyConnect is a plugin for Vanilla. Installing ProxyConnect into Vanilla is as simple as dropping the ProxyConnect folder into your Vanilla plugins/ folder and then enabling it in your Dashboard (in the Plugins section).

At this stage, there is no corresponding Joomla plugin. I'm sure one will turn up eventually, but in the mean time, you'd need to do some coding to get that aspect of the connection done. Do you know anyone who might be interested in doing this for you/us?
