RSS feeds for parent categories?

Categories can be grouped together by using parent categories. These list as titles in the list of categories in the side-bar.
By grouping categories together, it makes sense to be able to do things with those groups. One thing I would like to do is fetch an RSS feed (or even access an HTML page) of all discussions under a parent category. Is that possible?
There does not seem to be a way to set URLs for parent categories, so I assume that being able to access them as a group was not on the mind of whoever set that up. Or maybe it is?
